Lisa Hom – TCG Intern

Lisa joined The Common Good in January 2014 to learn about how a non-profit organization functions, and to develop skills in communications and coordinating events.

She has since earned a B.A. in Biology/Chemistry with an honorary Magna Cum Laude from Baruch College in Feb. 2014. In obtaining her college degree, Lisa was recognized on the Dean’s List every year.

During her free time, Lisa volunteers at the Ambulatory-Surgery Department of St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital, goes jogging or participates in other outdoors activities, and spends quality    time with her family and friends. She has a passion for exploring other countries and experiencing their cultures, traveling to places such as Hong Kong, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic,  London, and Vienna.

Lisa aspires to cultivate a career to help other people improve their quality of life. She hopes that by achieving her goals, she can also inspire and motivate others to believe in the impossible.

Remember, “There is only one thing that makes a dream impossible to achieve: the fear of failure.” – Paulo Coelho – and sometimes, “It’s kind of fun to do the impossible.” – Walt Disney Company.
