Richard S. Gordon is the president of the Gordon Law Firm, a results oriented public policy, corporate strategic planning and government affairs firm. Through out his career, Gordon has been at the intersection of government, law and politics. He advises companies and organizations on large strategic issues which frequently involve state and local governments. At the same time, he serves as an advisor on political and policy matters to a number of governors, mayors, Senators, Congressmen and other elected officials on the state, local and national level. He serves as an Advisor to the Chair of the Democratic Governors Association, and is a member of the Finance Council of the Republican Governors Association, as well as being active with the US Conference of Mayors and other national organizations.
Gordon is on the national board of Blessings in a Backpack, where he serves as national treasurer. Blessings provides food to children on the Free and Reduced Lunch Program around the country who might not otherwise have food over the weekends. For five years, Gordon served as president of the American Jewish Congress, a more than 90 year old organization dedicated to equal rights and equality for all regardless of race or religion.
A lawyer by training, Richard received his law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law. He received a B.A. in political science and history from the University of Rochester, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.
