About Robert Pietrzak
Robert Pietrzak, is a partner at Sidley Austin LLP, co-head of Litigation in the firm’s New York office and global co-head of the firm’s Securities Litigation Practice Team. He has represented corporate defendants in some of the largest litigations in the US and has represented major Chinese corporations and institutions.
Mr. Pietrzak received his B.A. from Fordham University and his J.D. from Columbia Law School. He is a member of the advisory boards of the New York University Center for Global Affairs and the New York Legal Aid Society and has been on the editorial advisory boards of The Review of Securities and Commodities Regulation and of the Fordham International Law Journal. He is also a member of the National Committee on United States – China Relations and the American Law Institute.
Mr. Pietrzak has lectured extensively and written articles on litigation, securities and derivatives issues for CNN, Court TV, ALI/ABA, the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association, the Futures Industry Association, the Futures and Options Association, Directors Roundtable, the American Arbitration Association and others. He has been named as a leading New York securities litigator by all the major rating services, including The Legal 500 and Chambers USA.
