Jocelyn Veliz joined The Common Good in April 2015. She is currently a senior at Baruch College with a major in Sociology. She is an active member of Women Empowerment for Success, an organization at Baruch College working to motivate young women to succeed and build confidence in their future careers. She is also a member of The Dream Team, an organization working to provide immigrant students with educational opportunities. Being part of these organizations gave Jocelyn a passion for helping disadvantaged groups living in this country, and influenced her to decide to attend Law School. As an Intern at The Common Good, Jocelyn hopes to build political and civic skills necessary to succeed in the future as a lawyer.
