Ryan Kelly is recent graduate of Monmouth University (New Jersey), and joined the Common Good in May of 2015. He received his B.A. in Political Science with a concentration in International Relations, with a regional focus on Latin American politics. The interest in Latin American politics began after participating in an Argentine Politics class that concluded with a trip to Buenos Aires. Since this trip in 2012, he has traveled back to Latin America on two separate occasions to study the Spanish language and engage in the unique culture around him. Ryan’s undergrad thesis sought to explore the various social, political, and economic ramifications of hosting the FIFA World Cup in Latin America, using Brazil, Argentina, and Mexico as case studies. Ryan will be moving to London in September, pursuing an MSc in Comparative Politics from the London School of Economics, concluding in 2016.
