At The Common Good our objective is to promote the free exchange of ideas, support civil dialogue, and help bridge the growing divisions that threaten our nation. In this era of the unprecedented spread of misinformation, our democracy relies more than ever on honest conversation, common understanding, and an adherence to the truth and the facts.

Only through freedom of expression based on reliable information can we defend ourselves from propaganda, lies, malfeasance, and ultimately, the threat of tyranny. To that end, we promote and present high quality discussions and briefings that provoke thoughtful and reasoned debate including opportunities to question our speakers.

We’ve featured important leaders and experts on public policy issues from across the political spectrum and the globe, such as Secretaries John Kerry, Henry Kissinger, Jeh Johnson, Michael Chertoff, Presidents Barack Obama, Bill Clinton, and George W. Bush, among many others.

Established as a 501(c)3 nonprofit membership organization of professionals and engaged individuals with an interest in public policy and politics, The Common Good (TCG) offers our members opportunities to join crucial conversations, to meet and hear from top thinkers and doers in politics, government, activism, technology, business, academia and media, and network among other members. The support and participation of our members has been critically important in helping establish a significant idea-sharing and educational institution and community across the nation.
