A conversation with
Congressman Josh Gottheimer (D-NJ)
Where pragmatic solutions meet constitutional values
Join us Friday, October 31st from 1:00PM - 1:30PM on Zoom
Congressman Josh Gottheimer is showing how Democrats can pair pragmatic deal-making with a sharp defense of democratic norms. He has advanced bipartisan legislation to strengthen local police, secure schools, and combat antisemitism, while leading the fight to restore the SALT deduction and ease the cost burden on families.
Just as forcefully, he has pushed back on Trump’s attempts to weaponize government power — from immigration raids to threats against free expression — insisting that America’s future depends on both affordability and freedom. As co-chair of the Problem Solvers Caucus, Gottheimer offers a vision of practical governance rooted in security, fairness, and constitutional values.

About our Speaker
Josh Gottheimer was first elected to Congress in 2016 and has since become one of Washington’s most pragmatic Democrats. As co-chair of the bipartisan Problem Solvers Caucus, he has advanced legislation to strengthen local police through the Invest to Protect Act, improve school safety with the Alyssa’s Law and SOS Act, and combat antisemitism in education. A leading advocate for restoring the SALT deduction, he has made lowering costs for families a cornerstone of his work.
He serves on the House Intelligence and Financial Services Committees, where he plays a forward-looking role on cybersecurity, financial innovation, and national security. Before Congress, he held senior roles in both business and public policy, giving him a perspective that blends private-sector know-how with public service. A New Jersey native, Gottheimer lives in Wyckoff with his wife, Marla Tusk, and their two children.
