About Our Speaker

Steven Rattner is Chairman and CEO of Willett Advisors, which manages the personal and philanthropic assets of former New York City Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg. He is also the Economic Analyst for Morning Joe and a longtime contributing writer to The New York Times.

Rattner previously served as Counselor to the U.S. Treasury Secretary, where he led the Obama Administration’s successful auto-industry rescue—an experience he chronicled in his book Overhaul. Earlier, he founded the investment firm Quadrangle Group and held senior roles at Lazard Frères, Morgan Stanley, and Lehman Brothers, following nearly a decade as an economic journalist for The New York Times.

He has served on numerous public and nonprofit boards and is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
