TCG Leadership Series
Conversation with
Senator Elissa Slotkin
U.S. Senator of Michigan
Wednesday, June 11th from 5:15-6:00pm ET on Zoom
As part of The Common Good Leadership Series, TCG is honored to welcome back Senator Elissa Slotkin (D-MI), whose unique political path offers key insight into today’s divided landscape.
Slotkin has done what many thought impossible: win—and win again—in one of the most conservative districts in the country. Her straight-talking, grounded approach resonates far beyond party lines, earning her a reputation as a Democrat who actually listens and a leader who delivers.
Now representing Michigan in the Senate, Slotkin brings a rare blend of authenticity and grit to a divided Congress. She’s not afraid to challenge her own party, and she’s not interested in cable news soundbites. Her ability to connect across ideological lines has made her one of the most watched figures heading into 2026—and possibly 2028. Before entering elected office, Slotkin served three tours in Iraq as a CIA analyst and later held senior roles at the Pentagon under both Republican and Democratic administrations.
As Americans search for leaders who can cut through the noise and actually move the country forward, Slotkin offers a glimpse of what that future could look like.
