Nouriel Roubini: Global Economic outlook: Upside and Downside Risks.

Join us for a special discussion where we welcome back world renowned economist Nouriel Roubini. The discussion will focus on a variety of tail risks for the global economy and markets including but not limited to: Brexit, US-China trade and tech tensions, US-Iran relations and the risk of an oil price shock. According to CNBC “Roubini, who has often been referred to as ‘Dr. Doom’ because of his bearish outlook, said there have already been signs of a global recession.” 

Roubini particularly famous for predicting the 2008 financial crisis during a 2006 lecture. He noted, to fellow economists at the International Monetary Fund, the coming housing bust and credit crunch. 

The event will take place at a private location on the Upper East Side. The event takes place from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm on November 14th and doors will open at 6:15.

There will also be an exclusive private dinner with Mr. Roubini immediately following the discussion. Tickets for the dinner are available for purchase by Executive Members and above.

Nouriel Roubini is a Professor of Economics and International Business at New York University Stern School of Business. He is also the co-founder and chairman of Roubini Global Economics, an independent, global macroeconomic and market strategy research firm. The firm's website, Roubini.com, has been named one of the best economics web resources by Bloomberg Businessweek, Forbes, The Wall Street Journal and The Economist.

From 1998 to 2000, he served as the senior economist for international affairs on the White House Council of Economic Advisors and then the senior advisor to the undersecretary for international affairs at the U.S. Treasury Department, helping to resolve the Asian and global financial crises, among other issues.
